Having had a good response to the boot rack idea, I thought it was about time to work up a coat rack design.
Coats, hats, umbrellas, bags, coats, jackets, fleeces they all come home and get left on every surface. We had inherited our coat hooks from the previous owners of the house and they just weren’t up to the job.
So to be in keeping with the boot rack I pulled out some Birch Plywood and set to work. Angling the pegs seemed to be the most sensible way of going it. A couple of prototypes later and I think it looks pretty good.
I chose to use Danish Oil again for the finish as it is hardy and easy to refresh should it’s lustre fade over time.
So now we have boots and coats all organised for the coming winter, which is really satisfying!
If you would like me to make one of these racks then either send me an email or I will have them up on my shop in the next couple of weeks.
Have a good de-cluttering day!
